How to Choose the Best Dextrose Supplier (2026):
18 Suppliers Compared
There's no single best dextrose supplier: the right one depends on form and grade, corn or wheat source and organic status. Here are 18 suppliers with a dedicated dextrose page, compared on the facts buyers filter on.

What goes wrong when sourcing dextrose
Corn sets the base cost, and the 2026 crop is smaller
Dextrose is made from starch, and the suppliers here name corn (AGRANA, Jedwards, US Sweeteners, Sukhjit) or corn and wheat (ADM, Graham, Lakeside, North Central). USDA's October 2026 WASDE projects 2026/27 US corn production at 16,034 million bushels against 16,964 million in 2025/26, ending stocks at 1,849 million bushels against 2,095 million, and a season-average farm price of $4.70 a bushel against $4.16. That is about 13% higher than last year, though USDA cut its price forecast by 10 cents from September after raising yield to 181.2 bushels an acre. Ask suppliers how long a quote holds and whether it moves with corn.
Where it is made and how few mills there are
Many listings here resell product from a handful of mills. Prinova names ADM Corn Processing as the manufacturer and US origin, UPI Chem names Tate & Lyle and Skidmore names Ingredion. Primient lists crystalline dextrose at its Decatur, Illinois plant, its largest facility. Two suppliers can quote you the same plant's dextrose, so ask which mill makes the lot, not only who sells it.
Organic and non-GMO supply is allocated
AGRANA offers an organic DEXTRODYN grade (20.250), and US Sweeteners offers USDA NOP organic in monohydrate and anhydrous, but it says organic and non-GMO supply is allocated. Vivion lists organic and non-GMO specifications and Skidmore lists a non-GMO identity-preserved monohydrate. If you need organic or non-GMO claims, secure volume and the certificate before you lock a launch date.
Import duties depend on the tariff line
Dextrose enters under US HTS heading 1702.30 (glucose not containing fructose or under 20% fructose). The general duty is 2.2 cents per kg on the 'Other' line 1702.30.40, but 16.9 cents per kg of total sugars plus 5.1% on line 1702.30.28, and some lines are free for trade-agreement partners. Three suppliers here are based in Austria or India (AGRANA, Sanstar, Sukhjit). Have your broker confirm the line and the duty before you compare a landed price against a US quote.
Pack size and minimums change the real price
Terms differ widely. ADM Buy Direct lists a 50 lb bag at $75, Jedwards a 25 kg bag with a $150 order minimum, Vivion a 50 kg minimum, Graham Chemical a 2,000 lb minimum, and US Sweeteners bags, totes and a 48,000 lb bulk tanker with 1 to 2 business day lead times from Brooklyn. Compare delivered price per pound at your real order size, not a headline price.
The most common quality failures
- Wrong form: monohydrate versus anhydrous. The two forms are not interchangeable. Under 21 CFR 168.111 dextrose monohydrate must be at least 90.0% total solids, and anhydrous dextrose under 21 CFR 168.110 at least 98.0%. US Sweeteners lists its anhydrous at 0.5% moisture or less. Write the form on the purchase order and the certificate of analysis.
- Purity, ash and sulfur dioxide off spec. The federal standard calls for reducing sugar of at least 99.5% on a dry basis, sulfated ash of no more than 0.25% and sulfur dioxide of no more than 20 mg/kg. Indiana Sugars states dextrose equivalent 99.5 min, dextrose 99.4% min and SO2 under 10 ppm, and Meelunie states assay 99.5% min and ash 0.25% max. Put these limits in your spec and require them on each lot's certificate
- Moisture and heat during storage and transit. Indiana Sugars states a moisture range of 8.0 to 9.0% for its monohydrate and warns about prolonged exposure above 90 F (32 C), and Meelunie caps moisture at 10% with 24 months of shelf life in closed packaging. Write a moisture range and a storage temperature limit into the spec, and check totes and bags on receipt.
- Source and claim paperwork missing. Some pages say dextrose comes from corn or wheat without saying which lot is which (ADM, Graham, Lakeside, North Central). Skidmore lists gluten-free and non-GMO for its Cerelose, and US Sweeteners offers non-GMO, allergen and gluten-free statements. Ask for the source grain, non-GMO, gluten-free and organic documents in writing for the exact item you buy.

What makes a dextrose supplier the best fit
There is no single best supplier. These are the criteria buyers use to pick the right one for their spec.
- Form and grade. Match monohydrate or anhydrous, food or pharma grade and granulation to the application, and write it on the purchase order.
- Source grain and claims. Get the source (corn, wheat or other) plus non-GMO, gluten-free and organic documents for the exact item.
- Certificate of analysis per lot. Every lot ships with a certificate showing dextrose equivalent, moisture, ash and sulfur dioxide against your written limits.
- Who makes it. Ask which mill produces the lot and whether the seller is the manufacturer or a distributor, since several sellers resell the same mill's product.
- Pack, minimum order and lead time. Match bag, tote or bulk to your dock, then compare the minimum order and the lead time from order to delivery.
- Origin, stock location and duties. Ask where the lot is made and warehoused, and for imports get the duty line and landed price in writing.
Dextrose supplier FAQ
Who are the best dextrose suppliers?
It depends on your spec. Buyers usually compare form and grade, corn or wheat source, organic status and pack size. Waystation lists 18 suppliers with a dedicated dextrose page, including AGRANA, Indiana Sugars and US Sweeteners.
Is dextrose made in the US?
Yes. Prinova names ADM Corn Processing and a US country of origin, and US Sweeteners states its corn is typically US-grown and ships from a Brooklyn warehouse. ADM, Roquette America, Indiana Sugars and others are US-based, but their pages do not all state where the dextrose is made, so ask for the plant.
Can I buy organic dextrose?
Yes, but supply is narrow. 4 of the 18 suppliers here offer organic dextrose: AGRANA (DEXTRODYN 20.250), Jedwards, US Sweeteners and Vivion. US Sweeteners says organic and non-GMO supply is allocated, so ask for the certificate and available volume first.
What are typical dextrose lead times?
Few suppliers state them. US Sweeteners says 1 to 2 business days nationwide from its Brooklyn warehouse and ADM Buy Direct lists 50 lb bags as available to order. For bulk or imported lots, ask for a written lead time from order to delivery.
What should I ask a dextrose supplier for?
The form (monohydrate or anhydrous), a certificate of analysis showing dextrose equivalent, moisture, ash and sulfur dioxide, the source grain, non-GMO and organic documents, the manufacturing plant, pack size, minimum order and, for imports, the duty line. The federal standards are 21 CFR 168.111 and 168.110.

Waystation started from its supplier discovery results and kept only suppliers whose own website has a page dedicated to dextrose. Table entries are what each supplier states on its own site as of November 2026; "Not stated" means it doesn't say. Manufacturer means the supplier says it makes dextrose, brand means it sells under its own consumer brand, distributor covers the rest. Listed alphabetically, no paid placement, not an endorsement.
